What is permanent jewelry?

Permanent jewelry is a piece of jewelry (usually a bracelet, anklet, or necklace) that is welded together rather than using a standard clasp.

What if I need to remove the jewelry?

You can simply cut the chain at the weld joint with scissors and store the chain in a safe place. When you're ready to have it reattached, I will happily re-weld it for you at no additional cost to you.

How resilient is the jewelry to normal, day-to-day activity?

The great thing about permanent jewelry is that you can shower, swim, work-out, etc without hardly noticing it's there. It may take about a week to get used to the feeling of having something on your skin at all times. If your jewelry gets caught on something, it will break off with great enough force. Keep your chain and I will re-weld it with no cost to you. If the chain is lost altogether, you will need to purchase a new one.

What does gold fill mean? How is this different from solid gold?

Gold fill is a process that uses much more 14K gold than its less expensive (and less durable) counterpart, gold plated. The gold is also heat bonded to the base alloy,
resulting in a hypoallergenic gold product that does not tarnish or fade. While solid gold continues to inrease in price, gold fill is a great, affordable option, while still maintaining that lasting, timeless look and feel.

How long does the welding process take?

The actual welding process only takes about 2 minutes. I would plan on about 15-20 minutes total per person to pick out your pieces, measure your fit, and attach.
